The GA ARES Digital Commitee has started using Winlink 2000 as another tool for the digital ham's toolbox. The best way to get started is to download and install the program Airmail. You do not need a radio and TNC to learn and use Airmail. All you need at a minimum is an internet connection, so if you are reading this online, you have everything you need. If you require help on the installation of Airmail, contact KG4VUB either during one of the nets, or at the email address listed on the leadership page through the Membership link on the left. We would like to support our County EOC with this mode by being able to send email from the field via packet.

Click Here for a good article on the ARRL website. ARRL membership is required to access this link.

This is a PowerPoint presentation about Winlink which includes installation and setup of Airmail.
